I've unzipped the folder for this into my Linux Download folder. When I'm running Windows, I not only have the current version of Avidemux physically installed, I also have an old portable version (2.5.6-1) for when the installed version doesn't like a particular file. As soon as I loaded the video file into it, I got an error message: 'No audio decoder found for this file'.Ĭan anyone suggest a cause and cure for this? ![]() The exact version I got is 2.5.4 with '(GTK+)' as part of the filename. I use Avidemux a lot for video editing and I've installed it using 'apt install avidemux'. ![]() ![]() In my Linux Download folder I have some audio files (flac) and a video file (avi) and all play fine with the built-in media players. With a view to making a permanent switch, I'm currently testing Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca on VirtualBox on my Win7 PC.
